Wednesday the girls turned 4 months. From here it feels like it went by fast but their birth seems so long ago. They spend most of their day awake and happy. I do lots of carrying them around but they spend time here and there in bouncy seats and swings. Carrying both of them is getting tuff. Cora weighs 10lbs 6ozs and Cuba weighs 10lbs-20lbs of baby. I have a really awesome double soft carrier but right now it’s awkward having them in it on front. I can’t wait till they are big enough for me to do one on my back and the other on front. That’s going to be wonderful. They are sleeping through the night, still with us but sleep is sleep right?!

Every day is a new adventure and I feel like we’ve turned a corner. The girls can roll over and they smile, coo, and squeal. We got the green light to start cereal. I am excited to start solids. They move so quickly from cereal to fruit and veggies. I can’t wait for finger foods, ahh the days of just being able give them cheerios in the high chair are not far off.

The girls are very different from each other. Cora smiles easily and at every one, she is a social butterfly. Cuba holds back a bit and observes; she makes you work a little for a smile-unless your name is Lennox. Their little voices are different and they even coo differently. Cora grunts and shrieks and just learned how to make raspberry sounds. While Cuba makes more O and Ahh sounds. When you say I love you to her I swear she try to say it back. I think the only thing they do- do a like is they both chew on the two same fingers, it’s pretty cute.

Caring for 4 kids under the age of 5 has been challenging. Mostly because I can’t be every where and every thing at once. I’ve learned to prioritize every one’s needs, it’s been hard. Some days there just aren’t enough hours. I don’t know how people with more then four do it. I don’t think I would be able to do half the stuff I do with out Lennox’s help. He’s an amazing big brother. He loves to entertain the girls. He keeps them from crying numerous times a day. He makes my life so much easier, and I’m so grateful for such a wonderful little boy. Aidan is pretty dang helpful too for a 2&1/2 year old. He just loves with a lot of passion and some times his love hurts. So while life is hard with having all of them, having all of them makes it easier-does that make since?
