I’m listening to 20/20 as two little conjoined twins are being separated. The little girls are one child from the waist down and two from the waist up. At birth doctors told the parents they needed to make a choice because would need to be separated within the first week of life. They chose to leave them together, but 4 years later the odds much more on their side they decided to go ahead with the surgery. I’m reminded daily how incredibly blessed I am. Two perfect pregnancies, two perfect boys. I worry- are they getting enough good things to eat… agonize over learning the ABCs-potty training. I don’t worry how will their lives be affected by living with one leg, or will they survive separated. It puts me in my place. My worries, frustrations are small and insignificant. I am blessed…
