We took Turkey to his new home in Oakland yesterday. He is now the newest member a small turkish family. Really really nice couple who are going to spoil him more rotten then he already is! They had even been to petsmart for supplies-so they we’re excited. I am glad the whole thing is sorted out and everyone is happy.
Unfortunately Peppy stayed behind-her first time alone in 3 years and despite the fact we left the TV on – left her our bed to sleep on and all the furniture was still in the house-nothing to suggest our moving away…she was still convinced that we had packed up and left her behind. Being the smart dog she is, she knew we would never leave her on purpose. She decided to fix our mistake by chewing through the hallway door. Boy was she embarrassed when we came home and had not moved and left her as a bonus for the new tenents. This is what we found. Oddly enough I wasn’t really all that upset. The door is cheap and it’s actually a lot brighter with it gone. The only bad part is we have to replace it before we move out. Oh well
